Proof of vaccinations is required at drop-off. You may also email a photo of your dog’s vaccination records in advance.
If you administer vaccines yourself, please remove the stickers from the vaccine bottles and place them on a sheet of paper along with the date given.
Health and safety is my #1 priority. All dogs must have current vaccinations, including:
-
DHPP / DA2PP (or equivalent)
-
Distemper: within the last 1 year
-
Parvo: within the last 1 year
-
Rabies:
-
Dogs under 1 year: within the last 1 year
-
Dogs over 1 year: within the last 3 years

Bordetella (Kennel Cough):
Not required, but strongly recommended.
I’ve never had a case of kennel cough since starting in 2008, but with a constant rotation of dogs, there is always a risk. Kennel cough is a common respiratory illness that can range from a mild cough to more serious conditions.
The Bordetella vaccine helps prevent kennel cough and is recommended for social dogs—especially those who visit dog parks, daycare, or boarding facilities.
For best protection, the nasal Bordetella vaccine should be given at least 5 days prior to your dog’s stay.
If your dog is not vaccinated for Bordetella and contracts kennel cough, I am not liable. All dogs stay at your own risk.

Puppies & Vaccinations:
If your puppy is too young for a rabies vaccine but is current on DHPP, I will still accept them.
If you’ve recently adopted or purchased a puppy without proof of vaccinations, it’s safest to vaccinate again. Without records, it’s best to assume vaccines were not given.
Puppies must be at least 16 weeks old or have proof of all 3 puppy (DHPP) shots before staying with me.
I do not make exceptions to this policy. The risk of parvo is extremely high for unvaccinated puppies outside the home. If your puppy is not fully vaccinated, please arrange in-home care or postpone your trip until it is safe.

City/County Licensing Requirement:
Unless you are just visiting or passing through Twentynine Palms, all dogs and cats must have a valid City or County license.
If you have lived in your area for 30 days or more, licensing your pet is required by law. These fees help support local shelters, provide care for homeless animals, and fund animal control services. A license also increases the chances of your pet being returned if lost.
Licenses can be obtained at:
Some clients may not agree with this requirement, but it is the law—and even with this, my rates remain lower than most.
I understand that finances can be tight, so I will allow a one-time stay without a license. This gives you time to get it completed before your next booking.
